Hunter born and raised, Luke's formal qualifications come from Wine Spirit Education Trust, a London-based internationally recognised organisation (WSET). He is Certified by the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI) and has completed the prestigious Advanced Wine Assessment Course (AWAC) in Adeliade university. Today Luke utilizes his skills as On Premises Sales manager at Domaine Wines shippers, one of Australia's most prestigious wholesalers and importers.
Luke's passion is infectious. It sees him continue to educate hospitality personnel and the consumers alike. He regularly judges at wine shows and contributes to trade and consumer publications. He still utilises his skills in creating wine lists in both Sydney and Melbourne. His passion is still aged wine and how "the wine story" is told.
Luke has completed a number of vintages at famed wineries like lakes Folly, Hunter Valley and Wild Duck Creek Estate, Heathcote. Luke most recently curated one of the largest specialty Chablis wine lists in the world. It received several awards for it Wine Spectator, Australia's Wine List of the Year Awards, and more recently the Jury Prize at the World of Fine Wines for Best Regional Wine List.
His comprehensive experience in Australia and the UK spans across Michelin restaurants, hotel groups, independent retailers, and several vintages. He has been immersed in the wine industry for the past two decades. Between his teaching work at Melbourne Wine School, his Instagram presence, Luke has a strong platform to take you on a wine journey.
